This course is designed to prepare students who have been admitted into the Diploma in Education Program.  It is suitable for those who wish to complete the program with a focus on either the ECD or Primary age range.

The module introduces students to theoretical frameworks that form the basis for an appreciation, understanding, and rationale for Inclusive and Special Needs Education, which should inform their perspectives on inclusive education, development patterns of special needs children, and how teachers can make provisions that meet the educational needs of exceptional learners they teach.
