Building on PE225, this module seeks to develop teachers who are proficient at imparting physical education knowledge, skills, maintain or develop physical health fitness, recreation and lifelong physical activities. The knowledge and skills to be acquired by students are meant to augment awareness efforts in the teaching and learning of physical education. Graduates who would have taken this physical education course are therefore foreseen to make a huge contribution towards the country’s economic, health, education, social, political, technological, empowerment and entrepreneurial endeavours.
This syllabus is going to cater for students who will specialise in Physical Education in their Third (3rd) Year. The topics with a star (*) in front are core areas of study for 1st and 2nd Year, while those without will be taken by students who wish to specialise in Physical Education in their 3rd Year.

Building on DPE222, the module continues to expose the student teacher to deeper understanding of knowledge and skills in any one of the three components of Home Economics, Clothing and Textiles, Food and Nutrition, and Home Management for personal enrichment.

Building on from DPE215, this module aims at equipping student teachers with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in art and design. It also aims at promoting visual literacy skills and an appreciation of the visual arts as a skills and knowledge endowed domain as well as aesthetic competence to understand their visual environments - natural, man-made and digital worlds.

Building on DPE226, this module continues to equip the student teacher with knowledge and skills in the core Sciences in line with the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation. The student teacher will choose any one of the core Sciences.

Building on DPE 214, this module continues to expose students to in-depth content of Agriculture
curriculum subject passed at Ordinary Level with a C or better. The module
provides opportunity for students to study and acquire Advanced level knowledge
in Agriculture, which should equip students with subject-content expertise
necessary for them to give subject-specific advice as subject coordinators at
school level. The content covered includes Soil Science; Crop Science; Animal Science
and Agricultural Engineering (Farm mechanization and Equipment).
Building on from DPE219, this module continues to expose students to in-depth content of Family, Religion and Moral Education curriculum. The module continues to provide opportunity for students to study and acquire Advanced level knowledge in key religious teachings and issues covered in the Old Testament. The module will equip students with skills of interpretation and necessary skills for informed responses to religious and moral issues expressed in recent academic study. This should equip students with subject-content expertise necessary for them to give subject specific advice as subject coordinators at school level.

Building on DPE221, this module continues to equip the student teacher with a deep understanding of the subject matter of Social Studies such that he/she appreciates the dynamism of human society. It gives the student teacher the opportunity to analyse and interpret the relationship between people and the environment.

Building on DPE 223, this module is designed to further expose students to in-depth content of the
Mathematics curriculum subject. Content covered includes topics such as:

Building on DPE124, this module continues to equip the student teacher with theoretical knowledge and practical performance skills and knowledge endowed domain. Furthermore the course seeks to stimulate musicianship among students with aesthetic sensitivity to the role of music in people’s life and their function artists.
